Same Resource across multiple project files

How can I see the resource allocation for a particular resource (employee)
across multiple project files (mpp) as a report? Also, is there a resource
leveling feature that spans multiple project files?

Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark,

Spot On.
Create a new file, save it as "MyPool" or any other name
Open your files one by one, and for each one go to tools, resources, share
resources, click use resources of.. dselect MyPool (which must still be
open)
save the lot.
Look at your pool's resoruce views.
There it is.
When all the files are open, leveling the pool levels all individual
projects.

Hi - i am searching for similar and did figure this stage out, however
it seems the only way to print this report (when looking at the
resource pool file) is to have all the other project files open.

Does anyone know if, within standard project 2003 (and not using
server), it is possible to report on the multiple resources across
multiple project files?

thanks for any help
Ben

Ben,
If I understand you question correctly, simply build a master file with
each of the project files as subprojects (i.e. Insert/Project). You will
be able to see resources in all files by looking at the Resource Usage
view. The pool file does NOT need to be open to do this.

Hope this helps.
