Hi Kamal,

You're running it, so youknow SOME of it is feasible.
What exactly are your doubts?

I am a manufacturer for OE supplies

daily data entry...
like my daily part production in the different operations & stages.

to be clear...
operation
planned xxx processed yyy
first operation is part cuttung from bars>
planned 550 prcossed 480

second operation is making holes in that part. >
planned 250 processed 50

third operation is painting >
planned 5kgs processed 10kgs

hope you get the picture time required changes as per the schedule for
the said month. my working is on a montly basis(recurring) OR lot size
basis(three to seven times a year).

I have been going through the program but it looks project 2000 wont
work for me.

Hi freedom,

I think I could find ways and means to solve most of your problems but it
would still be only just.
Especially for recurrent productions, Project is too much
"project"-oriented.
IMHO a valuable tool for unique batches (because simpler and cheaper that
the production SW I saw) but for recurrent... I hesitate.

I agree with Jack: Microsoft Project is not production software. You will
need careful, skilled use of Project to get what you want. The moment an
unskilled person tries to update it you will get chaos. Production software
is going to cost more, but should add more value.

See if there's a production add-on for your accountancy software.
